The Garden State Wine Growers Association is proud to announce the upcoming Governor’s Wine Showcase of New Jersey, a dynamic new event, the first of its kind, created to showcase the best wines New Jersey has to offer. This event has replaced the New Jersey Governor’s Cup Wine Competition and will feature only wines made from 100% New Jersey-grown fruit, produced in New Jersey. New Jersey Commercial Wineries that enter will have their wine evaluated in a blind format by an esteemed international panel of judges. The top-scoring wines will become Governor’s Showcase Selection wines, which will be featured annually at the Governor’s Mansion and at various events to be held throughout the 12 months following the judging. Garden State Wine Growers Association Executive Director Devon Perry and Vice Chair Scott Donnini proudly represented New Jersey at WINEAMERICA’s Congressional Fly-In in Washington, D.C. Over two impactful days, they joined industry leaders from across the country to advocate for the future of American wine, meeting with our elected officials and their staffers, visiting the Tax and Trade Bureau, and sharing key policy priorities affecting New Jersey’s wine community - as well as sharing our new 2025 Economic Impact Report relflecting NJ and the USA's positive impact on the economy. With meaningful conversations and a collaborative spirit, the Wine America Fly-In was a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when we come together to raise our voices and our glasses - Cheers to New Jersey wine!

Cape May Peninsula AVA Central Delaware Valley AVA Outer Coastal Plain AVA Warren Hills AVA In order for a region to be approved as an AVA, it must be able to prove its identity as a region that is beneficial to grape growing.
